Privacy Policy and Legalities

Welcome to the Guiding Eyes For The Blind Volunteer Network website.

Guiding Eyes For The Blind is a 501 c 3 non-profit corporation. Our mission is to enrich the lives of blind and visually impaired men and women by providing them with the freedom to travel safely, thereby assuring greater independence, dignity and new horizons of opportunity.

The many purposes of this web site include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Provide up-to-date information to our volunteers associated with our breeding, puppy raising, early & home socialization programs.
  2. Provide the public with an online resource to learn how they can become involved in our program & volunteer in a number of different ways.
  3. Provide Region Coordinators with information that helps them to better manage the resources within their respective regions.
  4. Provide our staff with an online resource & direct their volunteers needing additional support with 24/7 access. This site will also provide certain general information concerning our programs, facility and staff that will improve the overall operations of our Center.

INFORMATION YOU GIVE US

We know that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we want to keep your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly. This notice describes our privacy policy. By visiting our site, you are accepting the practices described in this privacy notice. From time to time, we may modify this policy, so please review it periodically for changes.

It is important to know that you can visit the Guiding Eyes for the Blind site without telling us who you are and without revealing any information about yourself.

Guiding Eyes for the Blind never sells our donor names, but from time to time we do exchange with other non-profit organizations in order to allow us to maintain funding levels. Guiding Eyes for the Blind strives to keep your information secure and safeguard it from unauthorized access by using firewalls to protect our servers and virus/intrusion detection software. However, no transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed 100% secure, so you provide your information at your own risk.

CHILDREN
